- Setting the strategic direction of the school.
- Ensuring that the School complies with the legal and regulatory framework which applies to independent schools in Scotland. This includes meeting its statutory obligations for keeping children and young people safe by having clear policies and procedures in place with regard to Health and Safety, Child Protection, Welfare and Safeguarding and Data Protection (GDPR) and that these are applied effectively on a consistent, whole-school basis.
- Setting school fees, maintaining our Bursary Fund and ensuring the School’s financial stability and staff appointments.
- Ensuring, as a registered charity that it operates in accordance with the requirements of the Office of the Scottish Charity Regulator (OSCR).
