House System

Each pupil and member of staff is assigned to one of our School Houses:
  • Rankin
  • Ardgowan
  • Lyle
The House System is our primary method of rewarding effort, achievement, behaviour and contribution to the life of the school.  House Points are awarded in one of the following categories, aligned with the four pillars of the Curriculum for Excellence:
  • Responsible Citizens
  • Confident Individuals
  • Successful Learners
  • Effective Contributors

We highlight the House points totals in weekly assemblies and use this as a way to encourage healthy competition!  The pupils and staff in the House with the most Points at the end of the academic year go on our ‘Winning House Day Out.’

Previous trips have included the Big Adventure soft play for P1- 4, crazy golf and bowling at Soar Braehead for P5 - S6, and canoeing at Castle Semple.
